If material displayed or linked on MWK infringes your copyright, tell us what it is and where to find it. Here’s how to submit a notice and how we review it.

Report a copyright concern

MWK Inc. respects the rights of authors, publishers, photographers, and other creators. Concerns can involve a photograph, a headline, a description, or a link, even when the underlying material is hosted elsewhere.

The copyright contact is copyright@mwk.com. A valid rights complaint does not require buying a service or contacting a news-data vendor first.

What to include in a notice

If you are the rightsholder or authorized to act for them, include:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers multiple works.
Identification of the disputed material or link, with enough information to locate it on MWK. Include the MWK page URL, article headline, publisher link, and image URL where relevant. A screenshot can help.
Your name and contact information, including a mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

Please identify the specific use you are challenging. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences.

How notices are handled

We review sufficiently detailed complaints and may remove or disable access to the disputed listing, image, or link as appropriate. We may request missing information. Removing material while reviewing a notice is not a determination about either party’s legal rights.

A notice may need to be shared with an affected publisher, content supplier, or adviser to investigate and respond. Include only information needed for that process. Do not send unrelated confidential material.

Where applicable, MWK may terminate or restrict access for repeat infringement and may stop displaying material from a repeatedly infringing source. The current website does not provide public user uploads.

If you believe a removal was mistaken

If you are entitled to submit a counter-notice under the DMCA, provide your signature; identify the removed material and its previous location; and state, under penalty of perjury, your good-faith belief that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification.

Also provide your name, address, and telephone number, and the required consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal district court and acceptance of service from the original claimant or its agent. For a U.S. address, that is the district where the address is located; for an address outside the U.S., it is a district in which the service provider may be found.

A qualifying counter-notice may be forwarded to the claimant. Where the statutory process applies, restoration is generally subject to the 10–14 business-day period and notice of a court action seeking to restrain the disputed activity. Counter-notices are legal statements; obtain advice if you are unsure whether you qualify or what your response requires.

Designated agent

MWK has not yet registered a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. You can send copyright concerns to copyright@mwk.com. We will publish the designated agent’s contact information here when registration is complete.
